Workflow Monitor 
You can monitor workflows and tasks in the Workflow Monitor. You can view details about a workflow or task in Gantt Chart view or
Task view. You can run, stop, abort, and resume workflows from the Workflow Monitor. You can view sessions and workflow log events in the Workflow Monitor Log Viewer.



The Workflow Monitor displays workflows that have run at least once. The Workflow Monitor continuously receives information from the Integration Service and Repository Service. It also fetches information from the repository to display historic information.
The Workflow Monitor consists of the following windows:
Navigator window. Displays monitored repositories, servers, and repositories objects.
 Output window. Displays messages from the Integration Service and Repository Service.
Time window. Displays progress of workflow runs.
Gantt Chart view. Displays details about workflow runs in chronological format.
Task view. Displays details about workflow runs in a report format.

Advanced Workflow Monitor Options

ƒHides folders or workflows under the Workflow Run column in the Time window when you filter running or scheduled tasks 
ƒOpen the number of workflow runs. Default is 20 
ƒ Expands running workflows in the Navigator 
ƒRefreshes workflow tasks when you reconnect to the Integration Service
ƒHighlights the entire row in the Time window for selected items 
ƒSpecifies the minimum number of workflow runs per Integration Service that the Workflow Monitor holds in memory  before it starts releasing older runs from memory.

Running a Task, Workflow, or Worklet: 
Monitor displays workflows that have run at least once 
ƒTo run a workflow or part of a workflow, right-click the workflow or task and choose a restart option 
ƒYou can stop or abort a task, workflow, or worklet in the Workflow Monitor at any time 
»If a task is stopped, Integration Service stops reading data but continues processing, writing and committing data to targets. No other task in its path is run 
»If a task is aborted, the Integration Service stops reading data but continues processing, writing and committing data to targets. If the processing is not finished in 60 seconds, it kills the DTM process and terminates the task.

Scheduling and Unscheduling Workflows:
ƒWorkflows can be scheduled/unscheduled according to the workflow properties defined in Workflow Manager 
ƒWorkflows that are configured to run on demand cannot be scheduled 
»To schedule a workflow, right-click the workflow and choose Schedule. The workflow gets scheduled to the time given in the Scheduler property of the workflow.
»To unschedule a workflow, right-click the workflow and choose Unschedule. The workflow gets unscheduled until it is workflow gets unscheduled until it is scheduled again or the Integration Service is restarted.

Session Logs and Workflow logs:
ƒThe session or workflow property in Workflow Manager should have been set to save the logs by session runs or timestamp to get the past logs to get the past logs 
ƒTo get the recent session or workflow log, right-click the session or workflow in the Workflow Monitor and choose Get Session Log or Get Workflow Log 
ƒTo get the log of a task’s past run in Gantt Chart View, rightclick the graphical chart of the task in the time window and choose Get Session Log or Get Workflow Log 
ƒTo get the log of a task’s past run in Task View, right-click the name of the task in the time window and choose Get Session Log or Get Workflow Log.
